Ok, I've been inspired by a close friend to get more of my thoughts out, hope it doesn't come back to get me...lol. I have some old stuff I've written in the past so I guess I'll put those up to start. The first one is short and just something I quickly wrote in response to a facebook post....
Independence
REAL men do not want an independent woman. Do not be fooled by Ne-Yo, Jamie Fox and the rest of that garbage you hear on the radio. If a man says he wants a independent woman it is because he doesn't want any of the responsibility of taking care of her the way he should. He just wants the "goods" without the work!!! The problem today is the definition of Independent is being confused with being a grown up. Because so few(men and women) act as grown ups and take care of business, that when someone actually does they think their independent. Independence is not an attribute! It is not something to be proud of. "Independence in its turn inevitably becomes defiance". Lucifer thought he was Independent of God. Fact is NObody on the planet is independent. We ALL are dependent on someone or something whether it is physically, spiritually or emotionally. We weren't made to be alone. How can someone in a relationship be independent and still be "one flesh" with their husband or wife? We are to be mutually Dependent on each other in order to survive any relationship!!! The second one thinks they are Independent, DIVISION is born!!
